I deff understand & believe the same, practice how you hunt.
I use my sled when I’m load developing & scope dialing in. My last rest had only a leather strap across the butt so the gun was against my shoulder. Outside of that, I use the front part with a rear bag for gen target practice. I like shooting like that. I got the Jim Shocky’s Trigger stick Tripod for the field & when I’m shooting from the back porch or right out the door. That does great, even with my heavy Paramount on it.
