Quality/Budget Friendly BI-Pod
Quote from Ninering62 on 06/30/2023, 10:34I’m considering putting a bi-pod on my Paramount when I’m at my bench with it only.
I’ve never owned a bi-pod before. I know that ” normally ” ” budget-friendly ” & ” Quality ” do not go together, but I do know that there are products made nowadays with both factors in mind, a ” middle of the road/happy medium ” if you will.
So, with that being said, some suggestions, options, & the pros & cons of what you are recommending from first-hand experience only plz would be greatly appreciated.

Quote from customguns on 07/01/2023, 16:57I’ve been happy with Harris bipods and Midway has them on sale right now. Tried lesser cost ones like Caldwell and would rather use a sandbag than a low quality bipod because my groups open up with a low quality bipod.

Quote from customguns on 07/01/2023, 19:36Magpul also makes reasonably priced bipods.
Atlas is really good, but you could buy several Magpul or Harris bipods for the price of one Atlas.

Quote from Ninering62 on 07/03/2023, 15:10Thats awesome brother. Great ideer! I’ve been rednecking/hucklebucking things all my life. I still do, but it really is nice to have a few things new to make things a little bit easier. And absolutely no one would be the least bit surprised to see a case of beer on my bench with a rolled up jacket on it. My weight for my Primos sled is 2 old cold weather hunting socks full of Florida sand. One of my El Cheap-o bags is full of sand too, the other is full of long grain rice. You can take the boy out of the country, but ya can’t take the country out of the boy. REDNECKS RULE

Quote from ivn on 07/06/2023, 20:52I’ve got a Harris knock-off from Walmart you can try….
Thing about bipods is you gotta either have ’em on a soft-ish surface like dirt, or you have to properly load ’em so they don’t give you a ton of bounce.
I’ve noticed that even on a 9lb 10/22 build the bounce will ruin accuracy….
