Interesting conversion !!!
Quote from Sideshow on 07/09/2023, 20:16Coming to this forum has had a few suprises . None of them has caught my eye more than this one . The A-bolt is without a doubt my Favorite cf rifle . Mine is in 300 win mag with the Boss on it . I love that thing .
But we arent talking cf rifles here as the subject is conversion smokeless mz , and i nearly drooled seeing this as a offered conversion possibility !!! What a awesome choice for a hunter to have !!! First the 60* bolt lift cant be beat for keeping your fingers out and off the scope . The thumb safety is another joy if the critter jumps up underfoot or sound control is required . There is a replacement aftermarket trigger offered by Jard but my factory trigger adjusted down is wonderfull . For a lighter build the Browning really should be considered as it is a pretty light weight action . No the aftermarket support afforded Remington or the clones isnt there for plentifull exotic goodies . But what is there is good stuff . Jeez even the factory A-bolt stock is a near perfect fit for me and extremely comfortable with quick stable handleing .
The action isnt a heavy tank like the Remington either or most clones so i dont think its a great candidate for really heavy bull barrels free floated . A lighter walking hunter is another story however !!! The cf short action sporters were 6lbs 3 oz if i recall correctly . A long action just 9 oz more . That is Sexy !!! I almost wish i hadnt seen this . I just cant stop thinking of the possibilities…..
