I am a fanatic muzzleloader never thought I would be had you told me 25 or 30 years ago I would end my rifle passion shooting muzzleloaders I would have laughed at you. Years ago I picked up a muzzleloader just to get the extra hunting time at the end of the season in Southeast Texas being a fanatic about accuracy learning to shoot that CVA break open and shoot it accurately was a tremendous learning curve not many people in Southeast Texas shot muzzleloaders at the time most were happy if they could hit a pie plate at 100 yards or even 50 I realize because of my obsession with accuracy that I couldn't hunt with that Muzzleloader if I didn't trust it's accuracy in learning to shoot that first muzzleloader to manage the recoil, and to find a load that I was happy with I fell in love with muzzle loading ,since that time I've gotten rid of almost every Center fire rifle I've had, I have lost count now have put together helped build or brought out right around 20 smokeless 45 Cal muzzleloaders and lived in a place where I could shoot thousands of bullets weekend and week out I have learned a lot shooting ,but I have to admit most of what I've learned is self- taught, as an amateur lifelong bolt action rifle builder ,all centerfire ,I really love to build my own guns or at least have a part of the build, my own interest today is primarily smokeless guns and bullets that smokeless gun shoot, I have flirted with traditional guns shot them a little bit but I'm in the process of getting rid of the four or five that I have I love to see innovation and new ideas I'm convinced that much of muzzleloading today is held back somewhat and confined, in brief what I mean by that is muzzleloaders have to find all kinds of cool trick ways to make things work, I'm of the opinion it should not be that way, I am for new ideas new technology and guns that shoot one hole.!!
